On Friday 22nd May four classrooms and a toilet block, constructed by Rwanda Aid with the assistance of a grant from BFSS, were opened in the presence of the Mayor of Nyamasheke and hundreds of community members.
The Ntsinduka project, developed in partnership with the district and local community, is in a very remote area, accessed by steep and rugged tracks. This presented a considerable construction challenge, involving the transport of materials and labour from a considerable distance.
BFSS are delighted that the team were clearly up to the challenge and that, thanks to their efforts, Ntsinduka School in Nyamasheke District now has some impressive new facilities that will benefit over 200 pupils immediately, with an expectation that pupil numbers will double in the short term. An interim report is available here.
