St Paul’s Community Development Trust provides a range of community education services for children, young people, families and the community as a whole in Balsall Health, Birmingham. The facilities include an outdoor farm classroom accessible 7 days a week. The Trust were keen to expand the activities they could offer from this site. BFSS were impressed by the opportunity afforded to children, young people and their families in this very disadvantaged community to be involved in environmental activities and education. BFSS therefore agreed to provide a grant of £12,000 to refurbish and enhance the educational environment of the outdoor farm classroom. The BFSS Vice-Chair, Rev David Tennant, who is Birmingham-based, opened the refurbished classroom.
