BFSS Grant for Education Partnerships Africa

BFSS has awarded a grant of £5,000 per annum for 3 years (subject to annual review) to Education Partnership Africa to connect around 10 schools a year in Western Kenya to electricity and the internet under EPAfrica’s Powering On programme.   Over three years the funding should bring electricity to around 6,000 students and 300 teachers and should extend educational opportunities by enabling students to study in the hours after dark and to have access to the internet.   This is an exciting project which involves the schools themselves working closely with EPAfrica’s Project Workers  to develop and implement proposals for electricity installation and to identify the benefits which electricity will bring to their students and teachers.
